Update the registry where you see the change

Register and edit infrastructure objects on a map, from the field or the office, and deliver them quality-assured straight to the national road registry. Part of Triona's Infra Data Management Solution.

Why

The registry only stays true if updating it is easy

Road data goes stale between the moment something changes and the moment somebody records it. In between sit notes, photographs, and a person retyping them into the registry. By the time the entry is made, the context is gone, and the error surfaces with whoever uses the data next.

SINUS is Triona's registration client for infrastructure data: map-based, usable at a desk and on a tablet in the car, with change sets submitted to NVDB, the Norwegian national road database, as you work.

  • Registered once - field registrations go to the registry directly, with no export step in between.
  • Ordinary equipment - runs on a phone or a tablet, with external GPS available where centimeter accuracy is required.
  • The catalogue does the work - object types and properties follow the national data catalogue, presented in the order the catalogue prioritizes.
  • Gaps become visible - coverage reports find the holes in continuous data and show where on the network they are.

Features

What SINUS does in the field and the office

SINUS is one client for registration, field survey, bulk correction, and quality control. The same map, object types, and catalogue serve a screen in the office and a tablet in the car.

  • Register on the map, or by road reference

Click a point or a stretch on the map, or paste a road system reference and register from that. The properties you then fill in come from the national data catalogue.

  • Short lists and templates

Group the object types you work with every day into a short list, and reuse a filled-in object as a template. Most registrations then come down to a few taps.

  • Children inherit from the parent

Child objects inherit geometry and location from their parent, overridable per object. Change status is visible across the whole object tree.

  • Delivery straight to the registry

Registrations are saved to NVDB in change sets, submitted continuously, with their status visible in the client.

  • Offline where there is no coverage

Download the area before you drive, register without a connection, and save when you are back online. A tunnel or a valley does not stop the work.

  • Positioning without specialist hardware

The map follows your current position, with background maps and road imagery behind it. Where an object has to sit within centimeters, connect an external GPS with height offset. No specialist survey hardware is required.

  • Bulk edits instead of one at a time

Split and merge stretch objects, mass-link parentless objects to the nearest suitable parent, copy property values across objects and object types, and move children between parents.

  • Coverage reports find what is missing

Continuous data such as speed limit and traffic volume should have no holes in it, and coverage reports find the ones it has. Filter by municipality, road category, and user group, and the gaps come back marked on the map with a coverage figure.

AI capture from video

AI capture from video, inside SINUS

AI capture from video is a second route into the same client. A mobile app records video from a vehicle and collects position during the recording. The AI compares what it sees against the registry and produces a report for each deviation, with its position, in a list and on a map.

The deviation reports are verified by a person in SINUS, and nothing is written to the registry without that decision. Scope is agreed with the customer, so ask us what is available for your data.

  • Capture while driving - video from an ordinary vehicle, with position collected automatically
  • A person verifies - deviation reports are checked in SINUS before anything is written
  • Focused scope - traffic signs and road surface condition

Who is it for?

Built for the people who keep the network current

  • PUBLIC

    ROAD authoroties and municplalities

You maintain object data on a network and answer for what the registry says about it. SINUS puts registration in the hands of the people who already see the network

  • CONTRACTORS

CONTRACTORS WORKING FOR A ROAD OWNER

Working on behalf of a road owner, and needing field work to reach the registry rather than a report someone else has to read
