Transdev is one of the largest public transportation companies in Sweden and a major customer to Triona. During 2022 Transdev will have over 1200 vehicles in operation using Triona’s FleetControl product which is an integral part of the IoT platform FOL (Fordon OnLine/Vehicle OnLine).
Spira is a completely in-house developed business system completely designed according to the nurseries’ requirements and requests. The system offers a holistic view and a coordination between the nurseries for example through a common stock, order management, and production planning.
The Setra Group is one of Sweden’s largest wood product companies. With large delivery volumes there are high requirements for effective processes for procurements, bookings, and follow-up of transport. Using C-Load, Triona’s intelligent service, the Setra Group has been able to streamline shippers’ daily routines while at the same time improve quality.
In summer 2021 Triona started a project together with Oslo municipality when the municipality wanted better support for planning, prioritization, and budgeting of road and street maintenance.
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s (Statens Vegvesen) control station in Åsane, Norway, has started to use a smart and scalable IT system which will select vehicles for checks without operator intervention. The system was developed by Triona in cooperation with Euroskilt.
Metsäkeskus (Skogscentralen) is tasked with promoting forestry and related livelihoods, advising landowners on how to care for and benefit from their forests and the ecosystems, therein, collecting and sharing data related to Finland's forests and enforcing forestry legislation.
A large regional reform in Norway was completed by 1st January 2020. The reform created demands for new ways to maintain roads. The number of regions decreased from 19 to 11, at the same time the responsibility for maintaining the regions’ road network was moved from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens Vegvesen) to the regions. Before the restructuring, the regions owned the roads but Statens Vegvesen was responsible for maintaining them. After the restructuring, each region had to set up their own road maintenance organization.

Ny Veier plan, construct, operate, and maintain roadworthy motorways in Norway. During the coming 20 years they plan to build roads for nearly 150 billion NOK. Their vision is to be a completely innovative digital force in the sector. In line with this Triona and Trimble have developed an AIM solution and have started work on an asset database for the road project in Trøndelag
Mesta AS is Norway’s largest contractor within highway construction, operations and maintenance and is responsible for a significant part of operations and maintenance on the Norwegian road network. For Mesta’s customers it’s important to ensure that data is reported correctly and there is no risk of data loss. Triona has helped Mesta to develop several parts of their daily work routines in order to increase efficiency and delivery reliability.
Euroskilt is the market-leading supplier of traffic safety equipment in Norway and a major player in digital traffic signs. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration is their largest customer. Triona, together with Euroskilt, have developed a system which enables all signs to be remotely controlled in a uniform way regardless of type and size. Additionally, the signs can be controlled manually via a panel which is built in to a compartment connected to the sign.
The Norwegian Coastal Administration (NCA) – Kystverket administers all coastal shipping in Norway. With Triona’s help they now have a system in place which collects all important data related to waterways, as well as a smart map function which is integrated in their existing web application.
Transport and outsourcing group Alltransport, with its headquarters in Norrköping and operations in Linköping, Örebro, Stockholm, and Uppsala, is an exciting company who Triona has worked with previously. After having used Triona’s Cockpit product Alltransport decided to upgrade to the new TRACS Flow product. The implementation has improved several areas of the business but in particular the logistics side.
Skog-Data, which can best be described as the Norwegian equivalent to the Swedish SDC, has the task of developing IT solutions which contribute to increased competitiveness for its customers in the country’s forest and transport industries. With Triona’s help Skog-Data has been able to enhance their system which supports forest transports. Among other things this has led to increased availability, better quality and shorter lead times for updating data associated with map- and road-related information.
One of the transport sectors’ greatest challenges is the management and collection of data from all involved actors. This is not only because the correct goods need to end in the right place but also that all parties receive the correct payment. LKAB’s transports at the Kiruna mine is no exception.
Time savings, increased reliability and the correct data to the right stakeholder, every time. This will soon be a reality for Bane NOR. The solution to their current challenges is a system developed by Triona for handling traffic-related route information for the rail network.
Vegviseren (roughly translated to route finder) and Vegfoto (roughly translated to road photo) are mobile applications developed by Triona. The systems give both the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and contractors a common platform for localizing activities and objects on the roads.
Clas Ohlson is growing fast – The business is expanding with stores opening in new countries and there is even growth in the existing markets. For that reason, work was started in 2016 with a business system to meet the new demands.
During 2016 Triona took over the formal responsibility for the maintenance of CapTank a mobile order application specially developed for fuel tanker distribution. Customers using the application are Hoyer, OKQ8 and Esso Energi.

After many years of being a part of business system supplier IBS’s offering to the haulage industry, the Cockpit business is now a part of Triona.
At Stora Enso’s paper mill in Kvarnsveden in Borlänge, newspapers and magazine paper are manufactured. More specifically 2000 tons every day, distributed on as many rolls.
To reuse an existing solution and implement it in another part of the world is not always as easy as it sounds. But it went quickly when Triona helped ABB in China improve its item management.
