Alltransport selects Triona’s distance calculation service

Alltransport are now using distance information from Triona’s distance calculation service for transport assignments managed in the TRACS Flow transport system. The distance information forms the basis for pricing and helps when making route choices.

Triona’s distance service returns distance and route information regarding the current road network taking into account weight and height restrictions. Customers who sign up for a subscription to the service customers get access to continuous updates for address- and road-network information.

By utilizing the distance calculation service Alltransport easily get automatic distances for their transport orders. An advantage of this is that the transport manager can easily plan the order fulfillment and set the price as soon as the order is received. For transport orders which are to be automatically priced, distance is used as a variable in the price calculation.

In an incremental development Alltransport’s long-term goal is to manage the fleet more efficiently by increasing digitalization using mobile systems and driving instructions from Triona’s distance calculation service.
