Arctic Asfalt selects TRACS Flow
As part of the strategy for digitalizing its order process Artic Asfalt has selected TRACS Flow for its order management system. By using TRACS Flow the order process and information flow between the offices and operational teams will be simpler and more efficient.
In the office the system is used for order management, from order placement through invoicing. With a configuration which is customized to its business processes Arctic Asfalt get a clear overview of future planned work tasks. The orders contain all information needed for the work to be carried out e.g. quantity of asphalt and area to be surfaced. Orders can also be registered directly in the app. By centralizing the order lifecycle important information is easy to find and will not get lost when being moved between different parts of the organization.
The greatest benefits can be seen at the beginning of the planning phase. There is an overview of planned orders per team and work can be re-planned if necessary. All important information is available in one simple overview.
Elsewhere in the workplace the app is used to report changes. This can be for example the number of tons asphalt, where the actual and ordered volumes nearly always differ, or the size of the area to be surfaced. Instead of filling in daily paper reports the orders can be updated in the App. Problems also often arise, either with the ground conditions or other assumptions which aren’t as they should be. This can now be documented directly in the app, so it is linked to the order. When the work is finished the foreman approves everything before the order is taken over by the project managers.
In the future it’s hoped to expand the use so more parts of the order process can be handled by the TRACS Flow system. This is a collaboration which Triona looks forward to being part of. Together with Arctic Asfalt they plan to develop new and innovative solutions which can be used by all contractors who work with asphalting and surfacing work.
